Copper

Copper

Copper is a ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. It is a malleable reddish-brown corrosion-resistant diamagnetic metallic element.

Gold, caesium and copper are the only metallic elements with a natural color other than gray or white. Copper occurs in various minerals but is the only metal that occurs abundantly in large masses.

It is used as an electrical and thermal conductor, a building material and a constituent of various metal alloys.
