Lester Kemp

Managing Director

BSc (Hons) MSc DIC MBA

A graduate from The Royal School of Mines (Imperial College, University of London), Lester is an exploration geologist by training, and has been actively involved in precious and base metals exploration throughout Africa and South America.

Lester is also managing director of Mantle Diamonds Limited, a private UK diamond exploration and development company with projects in Canada, Europe and Africa.

Nathan Adamson

Finance Director


A Certified Practising Accountant by profession, Nathan was group financial controller for Oxus Gold Plc prior to joining London Africa. Previous employers include Diageo, HSBC (Investment Banking & Markets), GlaxoSmithKline and BHP Billiton (Boodarie Iron, South Headland).

Rupert Baring

Director


Rupert is a highly experienced diamond broker with in-depth knowledge of the international diamond business. He was trained by and worked for De Beers and I. Hennig & Co (broker to the Diamond Trading Corporation) sorting and valuing rough diamonds as well as running diamond stations for De Beers in Africa.

Office Manager


Carlos joined London Africa in 2007 as the Office Manager and is the first point of contact at our offices in London.

Mike Brennan

Technical Consultant

Mike has worked for a variety of companies including Anglo American Corporation of South Africa (Diamond Division), Auridiam Zimbabwe (Pty) Ltd, Reunion Mining (Zimbabwe) Pty Ltd, Delta Gold (Zimbabwe) Limited, African Mining Consultants, Mopani Copper Mines plc and more recently Metorex Limited. Mike is particularly skilled in the evaluation and operation of mining projects and also in mineral exploration.

Dr. Hans E Madeisky

Technical Consultant

PhD MSc DIC

With 35 years in metals and 30 years massive sulphide exploration, Hans brings extensive experience to the company. Hans also has a 10-year working relationship with the Geological Survey & Ministry of Mines in Tunisia.

Timothy Strong

Project Geologist (Eritrea)

BSc (Hons) GradIMMM ACSM

Timothy, who joined London Africa in October 2009, is a graduate of the Camborne School of Mines (University of Exeter) with experience in gold and base metal exploration in Pakistan, Australia and the UK.

Timothy is responsible for overseeing the company's operations in Eritrea and liaising with the MOEM.
